Default 12" vs 14" apes?

Picking up my first Harley in three days. -11 silver Forty Eight.

Bike is all stock and I´ve got big plans for it but I can´t seem to decide what bars to run. I know I want apes but should I get 12" or 14"
I´m 5´9" but comfort comes second to looks

So If you have a pic of your 48 with apes, please post and leave a comment on what bars you have.

I got 12's with 3" riser... Should of went 14's with 1" .... I just installed road6customs to replace a set od HD ones. Prefer the character the R6C gives

I'm 5'10" and the grips are less than shoulder height, quite comfy!

Not a 48 but these are 12 inch Z bars apes with a 2.5 inch riser. I'm 6'0and they grips are about at shoulder height, maybe a tick lower.

i'm 5'7" and I was also considering 14" apes, I sat on a bike that had them and they were perfect for the 48 they also look good, so i'll probably go that route myself

I had mini apes on mine but changed them as they are really wide at the bottom and dont think they suited the bike, now I have 12" narrow apes
