Default My worst fear happened while installing new rocker box covers.

I just got the black powder coated rocker boxes while putting on the breather assembly on one of the lower rocker rocker boxes I snapped off a screw . I tried drilling the lil bastard out with no luck. So now I gotta buy new lower rocker box. Thank god it wasn't anything too serious. I wonder if the dealership can order me a replacement screw. Most likely they'll force me to buy the whole daggone assembly (SIKE!). Well guys just wanted to share my story, be careful when tightening them small screws!!!

did you really mess it up trying to drill the bolt out? If not, you might be able to take it to a shop, have them remove it and put an insert in.

For those who laugh at using a torque wrench, at least you could make up for it by getting a lot of practice removing broken machine screws.

Moco will sell you whatever you need--that part is easy.

I didn't think I was putting that much pressure on it. I hope the new cover comes in time for ROLLING THUNDER. I'll use a little more delicacy this time!
