Something you may have already thought to check is the
rear caliper & bracket clearance with the tire. IIRC, you
switched to the larger 10.5" rotor/early caliper bracket
and it appears that the 48 in the picture is still using
the smaller stock late-model rotor/bracket.

just a thought....

good luck,

T.

hank-hill did switch over to the larger floating rotor like what I have in mine... but I can't tell if he did so after switching to the other set of wheels he installed... I still have the previous setup stored in the parts bin... worst case scenario I will just go back to that setup.

But good catch...

Cool

Still waiting for the wheels to arrive... but another 48 owner did the install. In his case, he used two front wheels for his setup. But it gives you a better idea of how the bike will look. Can't wait for mine to come in so that I can finally have that look.

Rear wheel is backordered until mid of July... Jon is sending me the rest of the stuff he has so that I can get started with the front.

Front wheel is in...

Hub is just a flat cover... I need to paint it black:

I also got the mounting kit from HD... comes with three different air valves, bearings, spacers for different size axles... I guess I will have to reuse the current aluminum spacers...

Don't want to wait?

He mentions shipping, not sure if the price is actually good...

Thank you for the find. But rear wheel is paid for, so I will wait. And it was the same price as that listing.

You haven't said one way or the other, but are you still
planning on using your hubcap? I think it'd look pretty
cool with those wheels (and hide the hub)...
