Default Sportster Hugger

I am looking to possible purchase a 98 883 Hugger from a friend. I have looked on the web and can't find to much for the hugger models. What is the big difference between this and the regular sportster? What makes it a hugger?

crodeo,

The "Hugger" has a lower seat height than other Sportsters marketed that year - it is similar to the "883L" they are selling today. It's a pure bred Sportster all the way.

I kind of thought that since the 01 hugger I did see on the web looked a little like the L version. Thank you much
