Yeah, the rubber bumper looks better. (see below) But when you combine a spring seat with the stock Sportster shocks, you have more suspension travel than any of the Touring models. Makes for quite a nice ride.

Solo Seat with Rubber bumpers instead of springs.

What kind of solo bag is that?

Can anyone speak to the difference in comfort between the mustang vintage solo and the mustang wide solo? I don't need *** width, I'm 150# soaking wet. I just want the padding. It's for a 48. I have a barebones for around town (which was actually fine on. 250 mile days). Mostly I'm looking for something to soak up some pot hole bumps.

There are 3 styles for my XL 1200......

Tripper Solo / 11" (The one I got, very firm but comfy)
Vintage Solo / 12.5"
Touring Solo / 14.5"

Hope this helps!

+1 on the Mustang solo. I was beginning to wonder if anybody out there had the same seat as me. I had always heard rave reviews on the Mustang seats so I got one and I can see why they rave about them. They are VERY comfy!

I am sorry guys but all those other seats look very short on padding and make my butt hurt just to look at them!

Wayslows, I like this Mother Custom seat so much I ordered one in black with the extra gel foam. The way it hugs the frame looks pretty killer.
