I have gloves with gel inserts in the palms, been using them for many years, I have a set for summer, fall, & winter, wouldnt trade for anything.
you can mess with grips if you want, but gloves can be a cheaper solution. lol. I found out when I was running solid aluminum grips I wanted to look cool, but vibration on an old shovel was horrible, these made riding bareable

I first used Performance Machine contour grips a couple years ago, but have since changed to the Avon contour which is the same grip, but cheaper price. They are on all my bikes. They are not soft, but are sticky and skinny. I had the same problem with my hands, because the grip was too fat. These have solved that problem. You can also buy replacement rubber for like $11 if ever needed.

I'm going to second this. I've used kung fu grips on a bunch of bikes. Biltwell just came out with other designs that I'm looking to try out. I recently bought a pair of gosh gum grips in a clear brown. A bit expensive but I've been looking for some clear brown ones for a while.
