5'5" with a 30" inseam. I have no problems with the forward controls, but rather, the reach to the handlebars, especially with the Biltwell Keystones that I recently removed.

5'10 probaby closer to 6'0 with boots. I think its pretty comfortable. I just don't care for that seat. Feels like i'm sliding back on high speeds.

I'm only 5.8 and I love the forwards, but I have HD drag bars and the reach is starting to bug me.....so I'm actually thinking of changing the bars to something just a tad higher and a little more pullback like the Biltwell Mustache, or RSD Vintage Moto bars.

I am 6' with long legs. Size 11 boots. I felt like you did at first also. Especially on the brake. I am also a new Harley rider and fairly new to bikes in general. After having mine for a month now, the feel has become more natural. I guess it just takes some time to get used to it. It still isn't perfect but feels much better than it did in the beginning.

5'2" with 29" inseam. I finally put mini apes on because, being shorter, I really had to reach to get to the bars. I found the hunched over riding position is not for me. Guys with longer arms seem to not have that problem.

I'm 6'4" on put on 6" ext to my forward controls. I also have 12" mini apes with 2"risers. I love the new forward controls, it feels like I'm riding a much bigger bike.

5' 1'' but with only a 29" inseam (which was pointed out was more important than height). I use mid-controls on my 48 with no problems. You can get extended reach forwards for the 48 from Harley...they also have extended mid-controls for the bike AND closer reach forward controls....yes, 4 variants of controls for 2014+ Sportsters.
