Default 2002 sportster 1200 cylinder base stud broken

I just bought 2002 sportser 1200 and gave a ride for 160Km with maximum speed about 80mph. And after 2 days I ride the bike around and found the cylinder base stud broken at on top (nut part). Anyone could tell me why such things could happened?
