Sounds like the battery is not charging. Easy enough to troubleshoot ... take it to the dealer and have them inspect the charging system.

 

The first battery was my fault, I kept it off the battery tender too long. It's frustrating to think of how many things it could be. Maybe this extended warranty I got wasn't such a bad idea.

 

That is almost always an indication of the charging system (stator and/or regulator) not working. Take it to the dealer under warranty.

 

it sounds like the relays are bad, i've had that happen a few times. But with the battery light while driving it sounds like the charging system, i also had issues with my 09 nightster, i replaced my regulator with one off amazon over a year ago and haven't had an issue since.

 

If it is still under warranty, get it fixed! I waited too long with the issues I had with my '04 charging system and had to pay from my own pocket what the warranty would have taken care of.

 

Been there and done that!

 

The dealers having a look, they are taking forever.
