How Did you get into a Harley?
#111
I always wanted a Harley but couldn't afford one. When I retired I needed something to keep me busy so I bought a project, a 1976 XLCH that need tons of TLC. Got it back to being a real motorcycle again and fell in love with Harley even thought the Sportster was too small for me I still loved the sound and feel and all things about it so when I ran across a 1988 Electra Glide that was in need of TLC it was a natural step for me so I bought it and sold the Sportster. I think I will stick with Harleys for a while.

My dad was a block mason in Florida and south Georgia. So I grew up around construction workers of all types. There were bikers around off and on all the time. Some were just riders others were Outlaws and they all treated me good. When I was young like 8 or so they called me little brother and really looked after me. The ones with those Outlaw patches treated me the best. I never had a bike but knew when I heard a Harley coming up one of my big brothers was coming. As I got older if I needed anything I could ask one of them and it would happen. So when it got time for me to have a bike it had to be a Harley there never was a question. I have never been on anything else. I have friends that have and ask me to ride their Jap bikes I just can't do it. Not saying Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, or what ever aren't good motorcycles. I just can't and won't put my butt on one. I guess it's the brotherhood of those old Owtlaw guys that sold me on the Harleys.
