Chick bike my butt ...
I traded in my 2009 Ultra Classic for my '13 sportster 48 , I love the little bugger.
Maybe I'm just old , feeble , and weak , but I have more fun on this bike than I have had in years.
I got to the point of being afraid to ride my big bike because of the weight and gravel parking lots , and my wife lost interest in riding with me.
Now I have fun whether it's a 4 mile or 50 mile ride.
Ride what makes you feel young or sexy or whatever it takes , just ride and enjoy the ride.
To heck what anyone thinks.
Sportsters are "fun" , and that's what it's about.

All Harley owners like to pay out on owners with a model that isn't the same as theirs. This is a nice example of a come-back.

Sonny Barger rode a sportster.

Tobie Levingston rode a sportster.

People who make fun of sportsters are just plain ignorant. They don't know what they're talking about. Ignore them and enjoy your awesome ride and the awesome history that comes with it.

It's because chicks like to look at 'em!

Sporties are fun rides. I'm a inch taller than you and I also have a King, so don't be afraid to step up later. I did after about a year.

Well I love my "chick bike". Honeslty I could care less what anyone else thinks of my ride. I love it and that's all that matters. Ride the hell out of her.

I think my "chick bike" looks more bad a$$ than those big bikes anyway. I can tell you it gets more looks.

Make it your own with custom parts if that concerns you, but I don't think it does.

Happy riding!

Lots of good info here. I usually consider the source with the comments of chick bike. I was wondering of its origin. I am not afraid to ride mine so that means its just right for me. I have since put bags on it and the relocation of tail light mod. So now I can even take it to the store (any excuse to ride). I am over the put downs made mainly by other harley owners. I have found its pretty much the same in the Car market too. Bigger engines are better. Bigger tires etc.....ribbing is gonna happen. Im pi$$ed its too cold here to ride at themoment and cant wait for it to be about 40 or so to get the bike out. Im having withdrawals. Thanks and I appreciate the feedback....I really do!

Don't worry about what others say about your scoot, they aint ridin it. I have had 2 sporties, a 99 883 and 06 1200 custom. I traded the 1200 in on my bagger which I love. It is my military retirement present to myself before I get out soon. Don't worry about the bigger bikes, I ride my limited everywhere and it don't bother me in the least. You just have to practice the slow speed parking lot stuff to get used to it, took me all of a week. I am 5-8 155 and whip it around like I did my sportsters. Stay safe out there, everyone is trying to kill you!!
