Default Cheapest way to make my 2008 883 Sportster Loud

Any advise on how to make my sportster louder without investing a lot of money? It's just a stepping stone to bike I really want, so I don't want to invest a lot of money in it.

Maybe a used set of aftermarket pipes. Hit the new members section and introduce yourself. Oh ya, welcome to the forum.

go to forum classifieds, sportster models , use the search function and type in 883 exhaust. I seen an post of some santee straight pipes for sale and the guy only paid 260, so that would be cheap and LOUD. Probably sold but you get the idea. Athough the op didn't post as sold. good luck If he still has them make an offer.

Cheapest way is to drill out the baffles. Lots of tutorials on You Tube.
Short of that, Cycle Shack Slip Ons have a good reputation with forum members.
Most are MSRP priced under $200. E Bay even cheaper.

Just buy a scatched up used set of drag pipes off eBay or Craigs List, and a rattle can of High-Heat black spray paint. They'll look & sound great, and be very cheap.

I would think drilling out the baffles would be the cheapest (free) and simplest way to go. Might even be a slight performance improvement.

Remove stock mufflers, buy your preferred tips, install DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts into tips and weld the tips on to the stock header pipes, then either put back on stock heat shields or wrap the pipes! Sounds great, looks great, and performs great because of the thunder torque inserts and the bike will be lighter due to removing the heavy stock mufflers and the brackets. Also very inexpensive!
