Default Going to look at a 92 883 deluxe..Now with pics

So I had to sell my Dyna last summer due to financial reasons and was heartbroken. I picked up a Suzuki SV650 really cheap so at least I would have a bike to ride around and it was still a v twin so that was cool but it still isn't a Harley. I found a guy who wants to trade me a mint 92 883 deluxe straight up so I am going to check it out Saturday. Hopefully I will be back on some good ole American iron this weekend, wish me luck!

Rode the 883 home today! Rides pretty good for a 92, the stock seats has to go and I need to put some slip ons on it. Gonna head out and get some cleaning supplies because it needs a really good cleaning.

Congrats. That was a trade worth making. Not only do you have a Harley you have a classic old school bike.

Started out with a '92 883. HATED the seat. But I only rode it for about six months before I bought a 1200C. Set the 883 up for my wife. Put Hugger shocks and a Hugger seat on it. Lowered the front by pushing the tubes down about a inch. She rode it for years before she feel in love with the Night Rod Special.

Here are the pics, it was in the kids family since new in 92. I got the owners manual and a stack of receipts for any major work that was done to it. He even gave me the original bill of sale from the dealer in 92. Rides great, has a slight oil drip/leak on the front which I was told is somewhat common on the older EVO engines. I just have to figure out how to get a pad on that backrest so my wife is a little more comfortable.
