Default Sportster 48 tank/seat question

I have a 2013 Sportster 48 which I have a badlander seat on. I am going to switch my tank to a 3.3 and was wondering if it will fit with this seat..

It should. I put a 3.3 tank on my 48 and was able to keep my replacement seat. I believe the 2.1 and 3.3 take the same size seats. Its when you put a larger 4.5 on the bike that it won't fit.

you can put a 4.5 gal tank on, (or any of the 3 sized tanks) by making a front T bracket for the seat that will bolt to the rear gas tank mount like the old style seat mounts & replace the fender/ seat bolt with a button head bolt. I did this on my 2013 Sportster 72 because I got tired of stopping at every damn gas station with the 2.1 tank. So you can put any of the 3 different sized tanks on, ( they use the same bolt pattern & you have to shorten the overflow hose), with any seat for the Sportster model by making a bracket out of a lumber t bracket & removing the fender/seat center bolt

Thanks for the responses! That is a great idea with the brackets.. I think I'm going to go big with the 4.5 tank, now just to find one
