Upgrading? Anything harley offers other than a sportster would be a big step down.

Where's the like button? Lol agree with Rog48. As my username indicates I left for a big twin for two years, then came back.

Thanks for the responses. This is my first Harley and v-twin bike that's why I came here for advice from people with more experience lol. I'm going to try those progressive shocks. Do I need to replace the front shocks on the forks as well? I'm also looking at changing the stock seat to the 3" spring seat from DK Customs

+1. I don't understand it either how going from a lighter, faster, better handling and a lot more fun bike to a heavier, slower one is an upgrade. Anyone who has this understanding that you must ride a 800+ lbs motorcycle to do 2-up highway riding, I will suggest them to take a look at some of the South Asian countries such as India where riders on far smaller cc (<300 cc) bikes will put these guys to shame when it comes to skills and 2/3/4-up riding at slower or faster speeds.

Ask me how I know.

Even on my Dyna, after 100 miles the passenger would be complaining of discomfort. With no passenger, I can ride the Dyna for 16 hours straight, day after day. I can't do that on the 883.

For long distance two-up riding, I believe a touring model is needed.

FWIW I rode my Dyna from the Seattle area to Las Vegas and back in three days, with no ill effects.

Ive done an Ironbutt Saddlesore (1000 miles in under 24 hrs) on my sporty. I go camping with my girl on my sporty.

Then after I get there I can still do this on my sporty. BT is an upgrade?.............dont think so.

I'm sure you can carry a passenger long distance if you numb their behind with Lidocaine.

You must have a different seat and shocks than I do. Off the showroom floor, the Dyna has a significantly better ride, although it's not as maneuverable or stable.
