Default 2014 Sportster 48 Throttle Sticking

Okay so I know that the tension screw and binding cables are the usual suspect here with a sticking throttle but I can't seem to figure this out.

I backed the tension screw all the way out to make sure its not catching anywhere on the throttle cable. Throttle still sticks.

I traced the two cables down into the engine to make sure it wasn't being pinched anywhere and its not that I can tell.

This is exactly what its doing: When I twist the throttle to give a little juice, it sticks, or holds in that position. When I then let off the throttle, it stays there until I twist it back/return it into the "no juice" position.

I didn't do anything crazy recently, I swapped my bars out awhile back but this didn't start happening until this morning.

PLEASE HELP!

Check the cable routing around the throttle grip housing.

Also loosen the throttle/switch housing screws a little and see if it is binding there (if the throttle returns fully)

If the throttle grip is pushed too far onto the bar, the grip end-cap may be scraping on the bar end.

There is a star nut that can be used for cruise control. It is located between the two throttle cables. Give that a check.

Default star nut

I took the star nut off all the way (cant say I would ever use that dangerous ****). Still sticking. Cord is not binding anywhere in the switchhousing/grip.

I loosened up the tension on the throttle cable and bam, fixed it. Very strange though, the nut on the cable was tight and remained tight until I loosened it.

Not sure how it increased the tension by its self. Hopefully some freak thing.

Thanks for all the pointers guys!
