Misc Parts of '96 Sporty
All parts are off my '96 Sportster...some stock, some not...all prices are without shipping, but make me an offer...this stuff is taking up room in the garage and I'm trying to use the money from parts I don't want to get parts I do want!
Stock chrome air cleaner cover (only the cover) = $20 obo
Stock front foot pegs = SOLD
Stock mirrors = SOLD
"HARLEY DAVIDSON" foot pegs = SOLD
Stock turn signals front and rear without connectors = make offer
Any of these parts can be for sale or trade (or partial sale/partial trade)! Here's a list of items I'm looking for:
1" under kick stand
Rubber mount rocker boxes (any finish)
1.75" drag pipes

They were on the bike when I bought it, so I can't compare to stock mufflers for a '96, but here are two comparisons I can make from previous bikes I've owned:
2006 XL883L: these stock mufflers were MUCH quieter...after removing the baffles they still idled quieter than the SE's but might have been louder under full throttle...open pipes were obviously louder than the SE's.
2007 FXDC: these had a little more bite behind them than the 2006 Sporty (96" engines seem to have that effect), but even with the baffles removed they idled quieter.
As for removing the baffles from the SE's, I can go out and see how hard it will be, but I believe they simply unbolt...

LOL Ya had an engine guard. Thats about all i would have for trade. Same pegs too LOL. That and the fact i just put on ISO grips and have no idea how to remove the left grip now for putting on new bars. Those bars have just the right measurements im looking for, and they are the old school bars im use to. I hate the crap out of my stock 09 XL1200L Bars.
