Whats your overall opinion on the helmet?

None of the local stores carry them, they just have the higher end Bell helmets like the Vortex and Star. I think they look great though, cheap alternative to my Simpson Outlaw Bandit... Probably get one for the wife, I think she would need a medium though.

 

Honestly I really like the helmet. Great quality, really nice glossy paint. I was trying to just exchange for a different size but the online store I bought it from won't take it back because it was the last of it's size. I don't want to buy two helmets from them, one the wrong size obviously, so just trying to sell it to recoup my coin and buy the same thing again haha. I figure I'll take the hit on the shipping because I'd have to do that anyway if I were sending it back.

As far as sizing, I think that's where I'm on the fence. I could deal with the small running the cheek pads, but when I take them out it's not as snug as I'd like. I want to run it pretty "bare bones" style. It runs a little big, so if she's a Medium, the Small without cheek pads is probably spot on.

I too love the Simpson Bandit but hey, $99 for Bell vs $400 helmet....
