Wow, an actual article that doesn't start from the position of "all people who ride a motorcycle using a car tire will spontaneously burst into flame".
Still no actual road tests though and they never mention us, Harley riders. I would assume (yeah I know) that there are more Harley touring bikes than Goldwing and BMWs combined.

This article is a breath of fresh air though, I am glad you found it.

Good article. I think they're right about having a mfr certify a car tire for a bike. That's a ticking bomb. Not a big bomb, maybe more of a small grenade. But as soon as someone capitalizes on it... The, albeit small, market will take off.

Default Darkside

Well all I can say is that I personally have around 40k " give or take some" on car tires on the rear of a 2011 RK and a 2013 Electra glide classic.

I had 25k on the RK tire when I sold it and the tread was good as new, almost as the **** were worn off. The tire held air and did a great job in all weather. Does it handle different, yes, is it bad no.

I put one on the rear of my 2013 Electra glide classic at 9k when the factory tire wore out. I now have 25k on the bike and all is well! HoldS air (which mc tires do not do well) .

I personally do not care what anyone thinks and it is awful easy for some Neanderthal to call someone else stupid or retarded if they are not eyeball to eyeball! Try it if I am staring at you!!

Have a nice day

Default Sure Glad I figured out, I don't understand what I think I understand

Thanks for posting the link I sure wish the tire company's would start putting the R&D into tire's that motorcycle folks deserve!

The Chicken Wing is on it's 2nd tire, am definitely going to put Run Flat on the new Devil Bike
