Anyone running dark on a late model ultra limited ? If so, what size ? I do like the Michelin Alpine.

 

Ran Alpin's on both 10 and 12 GW's and a 13 F6B. I have a new Michelin sitting in the garage waiting to hear from a guy after he trikes his HD on availability for his back rim..........

 

so what size are you running on your ultra ?

 

I'm not yet, still waiting on the purchase of a rim to mount a Michelin Alpin PA3 ZP 195/55/16 on it.

 

Why not use the existing rim ? did you get another rim 2h3n you went dark in the wing ?? If so why ?

 

Reason I want another rim is, I can put the original tire back on when I take my Limited in for warranty or any service (although I do most of my own). They won't be able to point to the CT and blame it for the gas cap threads being out of round or like when my Jiffy Stand fell off. Seems they always look for an excuse get out of warranty work without charging something.


On my previous bikes the CT was never an issue, matter of fact they mounted CT's for me.
A friend gave me a rear wheel with an Alpin ZP already mounted, that convinced me to go back to the darkside after a bad experience with a Goodyear on a Valkyrie.
