I am giving serious thoughts on going to the dark side. I have a 2010 limited and wondering what size tire is needed to make the switch. I would like to keep the speedometer unchanged. Which is better snow or a rain tire or a run flat tire. I ride in all conditions rain or shine cold or hot. Are beads or ride on better.

An XXX-60-16 will affect the speedo the least.

XXX being 205 or 195 series, your choice. 205 puts more rubber on the road. Folks say a 195 handles more like a motorcycle tire.

I use Ride On, it balances great and maybe one day it will save me from a flat.

Most if not all car tires will run rings around any motorcycle tire in the rain. Its not even a contest.

 

Totally agree with PFWiz I've ran 205/55R16 and speedo is basically unchanged. I use 4 oz. of dyna beads and always a run flat tire. Have ran winter and all season, As he says there is just no bike tire that compares in the rain. I don't notice a difference between winter and all season. One thing for sure too much air will wear out the center prematurely.
