It was the right side and I do ride in the mountains a lot but no track use. I really wanted it to work, with a MC tire I don't have any wear issues. I do all my own work and have for the last four bikes I have owned (I have logged over 300,000 miles on H-D touring bikes) I can't find any "set up" problems maybe I just scrape the right foot board more than the left. I'm not knocking the CT idea just wanted to let people know how my experience was on my 13 Limited.

HDSAE60,
I went to a car tire because in the course of 1 year, I had to put 5 new tires on between the front and rear. A couple of them were blow outs, but it was just getting too expensive using MT's.
I started out on a 2011Limited with a car tire rear, but after 12K a cager ran me over. So I traded it in for a 2013 Anniversary Limited in March of 2013. Since then I wore out the OEM tire, a Sp5000 and a Michelin Alpin. I'm on my second Alpin now and I'm not going back to a MT.
I'm only a few miles East of you and ride all around OK, AR, MO and TX. I'm really pleased with only having to change the rear tire once or twice a year. I've been averaging 20K per car tire and 13K per MT.
Maybe it was a fluke that you only got 10K on the Dunlop. The Michelin Alpin is a better handling tire too. If I were you, I would give it one more shot. It sounds like you don't have a garage queen either, so it may be worth a shot.

I'm now 2000 miles in. The alpin is doing well at 32psi. I didn't think I would go darkside on the Vic bu I've been hammering miles so tried it. The Dunlop elites gave me 18k so I hope to get 25k outta this.

I am running a 205/55/16 Michelin A/S now and have gotten over 40k out of it. It is finally down to the wear bars. I really like the look of the PA3 tire but don't see it in a 205 only a 195. I am wondering if running a 195 vs a 205 would make much of a difference. Any info on the availabilty of a 205 or on the difference in a 195 to a 205?
