Default FP3 tuner and battery.....

I asked this question a few weeks back in Touring with no response, so I'll ask here. I installed the canned tune for my RG and applied a tune from a loop I drove involving city, highway and freeway driving. I removed my battery leads a few days later to troubleshoot a possible charge issue. Reconnected battery, reinstalled main fuse and started bike. Bike started but idled like crap, shutdown bike and restarted. Ran better. Question is, can you lose your tune by pulling main fuse and removing battery cables? Yes, the ignition was off during the T/S evolution. Thanks for the help.

I don't understand how the ECM can loose the tune, it has a non volatile memory chip. If that is the case, you would loose the tune each time you replace your battery. Very odd.
