Default TTS upgrade?

Hey guys, had a question on TTS upgrades. I hadn't been on here in a while, but I had a 2006 streetbob that I had the p/n 2000000 mastertune black dongle, that I purchased from Doc. I just bought a 2017 Street glide special. Now it already has a stage one with the screaming eagle pro street tuner that came with it, but I'm wondering if I can upgrade my old mastertune to the new blue box unit?

I've spent the last hour searching the internet and saw some posts a while back about upgrading the software on the old black dongles by sending them in, but looks like they stopped that a while back due to lack of parts for them. So is there an upgrade discount or am I just throwing the old black one in the trash and having to start over to buy a new unit? Thanks for the info...

If this is not the right area to ask this question, please direct me to the area I would, I see the original TTS thread was closed last year.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no upgrade path for the Black VCI. But, you can still use it to troubleshoot Codes, data logging, etc. It is no longer supported.

If you want to V-Tune, you will need to buy the Blue (or Green) VCI.

You can still VTune with the black box but you'll need to carry a computer.

Tsani is correct, the black box has been discontinued and no upgrade is available.

Thanks for correcting that Wiz, I forgot about it. Been that long since I used the Black VCI.

The "Blue" box is truly the way to go.

It holds the stock map, so no need to put on the computer or thump drive.

"IF" I may suggest,

Sorry but this is the Dyno Room where advertising isn't allowed.

You may not "need" to put it on a computer or thumb drive but I strongly suggest you do otherwise. You can also store a copy online at the TTS site.

UPDATE..

After reading in here I went on a search for an MTE file and low and behold I found one...It has my Vin No .MTE and the date about right for when I started using TTS...Would I be right to assume this is my original file??

Cheers...Sparra

Thanks guys, I'll probably be looking back into that in a couple months, the bike came with a stage one and HD street tuner already. Since I dumped a couple grand into some upgrade likes seats, luggage rack, etc, I gotta wait a bit.
But, I deffinitely would look into the blue unit, I can remember tearing up and down the interstate at 2 in the morning with a laptop taped to my dyna handlebars, and I'm not crazy about doing that again with my street glide, lol.
