And how does one get the tune currently on the bike with the black box and a laptop?
Save it as an MTE file and put that MTE file back in the ECM after trying a different tune? It would be good if one could open the file and review the settings in Mastertune after pulling it off the bike, saving it as a new file for possible future use.

Try calling the shop and ask them for a copy of the tune. My guess would be they could email it to you and one assumes you have your previous tune. You can also do it as you've stated.

I agree, that there should be more runs to dial in the top end of the map, however, the exhaust you are running is not the best choice for your build.
The D&D fat cat will make your build shine. I have gained 10 hp and more low end torque by switching from that exhaust to the fat cat.
Don't get hung up on the numbers. Focus on having the bike perform the best it can with what you have.
All dynos are not created equal and numbers can fluctuate 5-10 hp/tq from one machine to another.

Don't let it get to you Dyno numbers are always higher on this forum ... It's happy Dyno syndrome. Ever here that term - On any given Sunday- Well on any given Dyno run depending on a bunch of factors he numbers will vary.

I just did a 110 upgrade with heads , woods cams etc. my Dyno run was same numbers as yours. 100 hp and 111 tq is what I got my exhaust is a Thunderheader . Now could my numbers be better absolutely as this guy who did my tune is not the best but my bike runs good . Not great but good enough . Not as good as my buddy's SS carbed 111 that bike outright hauls ***.

My bike ran better with the stock 103 with SE 204 cam and Bassani exhaust lol no **** ran great.

Nick@nite your tune looks to be bad all those choppy lines is timing issues you will have better numbers with a professional tuner tuning your bike. I would never let that leave my shop like that. and I disagree about the happy dyno syndrome my dyno reads low from what I have been told and seen with comparisons from other dynos. And your sheet is in std so it will show higher numbers I would get that bike tuned if it were me that's bad that guy has not a clue how to tune.

Wouldn't changing the smoothing from 2 to 5 make a huge difference?

Trying to find a good tuner is like striking gold here. I'll try again in spring. Thanks for the feedback appreciate it.

I completed a very similar build this year (see build list below) with similar dyno results (see attached). I run a Freedom Performance Sharp Curve Radius exhaust, which, was on the bike prior to the build. While the bike runs great, pulls hard and is very streetable, I was hoping to get 110 HP and 115 TQ and better low end torque. I knew going into it, that my exhaust my rob me of #s as many told me it would both pre and post build. My tuner worked on my tune both on the street and on the dyno for three day and ran a tank of fuel for it, so I know it's not the tune. I'll probably be going to a 2-1 exhaust next season.

I had my my MT9 tune file looked at and was told it looks fine, and that going to my Pro Pipe or a Fat Cat would only yield a few more points, so I don't see the point on swapping pipes and having it tuned again. I'm going to sell the Pro Pipe and move on without looking back.
