Default Does fuel range adapt to engine changes?

2015 Road king when I did a stage 1 I lost 3-5 miles per gallon. When i fill up it state between 210 to 220 till empty and drops about the same as before but as it gets near 1/4 tank it drops very fast probably 3 mile per mile riden. My question is will this "learn" my new set up?

Was the bike tuned after the Stage I?

If not, it is doubtful the bike will learn its way back to better fuel mileage.

Yes the bike was worked on and tuned at Harley dealer with Race Tuner. Thanks for the reply. What I ment was after I fill up,the bike will say 220 miles to empty and it starts counting down but when it gets below 1/2 tank it count much faster than miles covered example it will say 100 miles to empty 10 miles later it will say 75 miles to empty. Will that ever adapt or will it learn that something has changed? Sorry not very adept at typing or putting it to words.

Mine has always done that since new. Someone suggested that the gauges were not particularly accurate. I'm not sure if the Power Vision can change anything or it may only be relevant to its own trip meter??

This sounds like a fuel gauging issue not fuel consumption. As with any engine performance upgrade unless you ride/drive like 'Driving Miss Daisy' your riding/driving style (as mentioned above) will adapt and change to take advantage of the extra power/torque available and a reduction in consumption is to be expected. This should be across the whole tank not part of it, as you witnessed with your 3-5MPG loss.
I am not familiar with your setup but the 'remaining to fuel' readout on many vehicles are instantaneous, namely at the moment of looking if the throttle is wound open and your speed high it will indicate less mileage than if you were 'pootling along' in top gear. Downhill in my car I can get the consumption of it to read 99.9MPG and an obscene amount of mileage indicated to refuel.......if only?

I suspect that the miles to empty is estimated from levels on the fuel gauge and an estimation of fuel usage based on injector flow, fuel pressure (assumed), injector pulse width and RPM.. It's possible that the guy tuning tweaked the injector size value or used a map where the injector flow was different than your bikes.. It's possible that the Ecm thinks you are using more fuel than you are but it resets the mileage based on certain fuel levels sampled. Just a guess tho.
