Bike Week 2015 Campground
#12
No motor homes or toyhaulers.
Hell, no lights, no showers, no water.
The "ambience" keeps the posers out.
Roll in on your bike with your tent and beer.
Everyone should stay there for a bikeweek at least once.

"Everyone should stay there for a bikeweek at least once."
So true. We always camp in a RV. Went on spur of moment by myself last year with nothing but a tent. No cooler, chair, coffee, nothing. Friendliest people in world at Cabbage Patch. Neighbors insisted I sit with them in their chairs by their fire drinking their beer. A little grungy though with no shower for the weekend. LOL. Great time.

We hit the Cabbage Patch both times we did Bike Week, but not for camping. I like being comfortable, which includes taking a shower, especially since we will be there all week. People around will also be thankful
Looking for full hookup with night activities close by. Thunder Gulch is still the preferred spot so far, but keep the suggestions coming in.

I can't help you with their website. I would recommend calling them.
My worry recommending them would be price.
It wouldn't be the campground or facilities. They are very modern and very nice.
As a plus they are as close to everything as you can get.
If you have the Daytona Speedway on your list, I recommend crossing it off. I've stayed there in a motorhome during bikeweek and won't ever do it again.

I'm not into camping, but I've been to Thunder Gulch Campground & looks like a nice place. The restaurant-bar on the premises, The Black Cloud, is now under different ownership from the campground, and it sux. Last time there they ran out of beer, ran out of fish on their "All The Fish You Can Eat" nite, & the wait staff was horrible. Too bad, because it used to be one of the better restaurants in the area, which is about 15 miles north of Destination Daytona. They do seem to be pushing more special events during Bike Week & Biketoberfest (wet tee shirt & bikini contest type stuff), but running out of beer? C'mon man!
