Doesn't anyone in FL know how to warn a rider about a cop ahead?

I'm not sure about the head tapping signal in Florida either, I've used it on A1A to warn about cops hiding up ahead and most riders don't seem to get it.

I would say it seems cops are not that bothered with motorcycle speed in S Fl except on side roads and obvious slow roads like A1A, residential areas or near schools etc. Once on the highway 10 over is nothing abnormal even 15mph over. I don't know any riders who have been pulled over on our highways for speeding and we all ride about 80-85 on the interstates and Turnpike. A couple sheriffs I've talked to said they leave the motorcycles alone on the highway for the most part, they know they'll never catch the crotch rockets and they don't want to cause an accident chasing a bike.

Most new and some old times don't even knows what that signal is. You be surprised how many older times (60+) don't know an been riding since Christ was a corporal.

I don't see it used often in Florida - only on occasion!

By the way, if you input your destination into the Waze app in addition to it giving you the best route based on current traffic, it will warn you of radar traps. People self report them as seen and the app tells everyone nearby as they approach.

I sometimes listen to my Bluetooth headset on my scooter so it's handy, but more so in my car.

Actually I seldom do more than 10
Over so it doesn't really matter to me but for those that do this is a pretty good option.

In N and Central Fla, it was always turning on your lights in the daytime or flicking high beams at night, but now that cars always have their damn lights on now a days, it's just flicking high beams.

If someone tapped their head, I'd think their head itched or they were a little off.

May even git the hint to STOP SPEEDING (like I should talk) and it'll save yer life. Or someone elses.

Oh, that is a novel idea. oooOOOOOooooo.

Now, am I going to catch any flack for this post?

Hey Lauren my love, if anyone is nasty to me . Thankee.

1. maybe I did not see the cop you want me to warn you about.
2. maybe he was not there when i passed by two miles ago.
3. maybe I got on the road past where they were parked so I never went by them?
Then again...I made it through there, and want to see if you will also.
Daytona Beach has got some new black Victorys and they sure do blend into the
shade of an Oak tree...

Speeding doesn`t kill people. Inappropriate speed for the conditions does.

I always warn folk, but over here, it`s called "perverting the course of justice " or some ****, and can land you in the **** big time.

Perverting the course of justice. Tattletaling on the LEOs. I am against anything that makes a LEOs job harder. Or ratting them out.

Getting in the way of a LEOs job? Not too smart I say.
