Yeah it looks very fresh...i was pissed. I like to ride on the faster side and that road had always been so easy to pass on...just ruined my whole thoughts of riding to the keys

 

Well they are going to widen Krome from 2 lanes to 4.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has begun a roadway construction project on SR 997/Krome Avenue from SR 94/Kendall Drive/SW 88 Street to north of SR 90/Tamiami Trail/SW 8 Street.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED
SR 997/Krome Avenue
Widening the road from two lanes to four lanes
Installing a 40-foot median
Installing new drainage system
Reconstructing roadway and shoulders
SR 94/Kendall Drive/SW 88 Street Intersection
Realigning the intersection
Reconstructing roadway and shoulders
Upgrading signage, lighting and traffic signals
SR 90/Tamiami Trail/SW 8 Street Intersection
Realigning the intersection
Widening the bridge over C-4 Tamiami Canal
Upgrading signage, lighting and traffic signals
Plastic poles will be installed between northbound and southbound travel lanes to increase awareness and discourage passing. A new multi-use trail for walking and biking will be constructed and guardrail installed throughout the corridor.
LANE CLOSURES AND DETOURS
To do this work safely, it will be necessary to close travel lanes at times. Work and lane closures will occur during non-peak hours on non-event days, nights and weekends from:
9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday
11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday

Yes I hate following trucks eating gravel, it's dangerous. Shoot that was a road I liked too. I rode up to PBIR last night, Turnpike is OK, better than 95 but I'm always super nervous on the highways, I prefer 27/former Khrome.

I want to do a lunch at the Tiki hut at the lake, going Snake Road, but Wednesdays are tough for me. I ride every Sunday afternoon Cafe 27, sometimes from there to Flossies, I go to check out all the bikes and I always end up BS'ing with someone at one or both places.

 

I am sure we will hook up on a sunday some time in the near future. I am trying to get 5000 miles on this bike before i leave for sturgis so im riding every moment i get.

he doesnt go on this site, **** he doesnt even have time to go on a computer. he's a commercial fisherman so he is out on the water a lot.....even tho the boat has been docked for a while needing repairs he doesnt go on computers....he wont see it.lol
