Default Fort Myers watering hole

Hello all. Being new here I have not yet gotten out much with work kicking my butt.

My wife Anne and I are waiting for our Heritage to arrive. It's in York, Pennsylvania waiting for a south bound truck. We had to ship it with our move here from Colorado.

On that note, I did cheat today and took Anne to Fort Myers beach yesterday to check things out. It was her first time to the ocean/gulf.

We stumbled upon The Dixie Fish Company located at 714 Fishermans Wharf underneath the bridge going out to the island.
Anne had coconut crusted Hog fish, which I had never heard of, and I the crab cake sliders. Both were very good.
The bar and grill was located right on the water and was very nice atmosphere with great service.
So we both recommend this stop for lunch anyway.

Cheers!

Question

Thanks for this. The Family and I are holiday in this area very soon, so I think I'll be sticking my bugle in here as I love good grub!
Cheers

Doc Ford's right next to it is also a great place to eat......although a bit more expensive. Leaving the island at the end of the bridge turn right on main, go to the end to Parrot Key http://www.myparrotkey.com/home. You will like it, if you like Dixie Fish Co.
I am across the river in Cape Coral...let me know if your out and about the area.

Looks like you were right around the corner from Bonita Bills, under the bridge where the shrimp boats dock. Welcome to the area, good luck with the new bike.... Heritage rules!

Cool

We fly into Ft Myers on 5th August, staying at Marco Island.
I know that we'll be having a few days visiting one "M. Mouse," Sea World, Daytona or Cocoa beach, so we'll be out of the area, but when we're back, I'll try to give you a shout. Maybe hire a bike for a day or two.
Cheers

Thanks for the nice review w-pics and welcome.

Though I'm on the east side of the peninsula, I can vouch for Fort Myers' and Cape Coral's bike nights. They start up in November, and alternate months between the two cities. DH and I seem to ride over to Fort Myers a lot.

I'll post more adventures as they happen. Haul bikes, the company that is shipping my bike notified me that our Heritage should arrive later this week.
