I'm using weather.com, and here's what the national weather service says. Let's hope this changes.

ENCOMPASSING MOST OF THE EASTERN HALF OF THE US INTO THE WEEKEND.
TIGHTENING PRESSURE GRADIENT BETWEEN HIGH AND REMNANT TROUGH ACROSS
FL KEYS/STRAITS WILL BRING BREEZY AND MOIST EAST-NORTHEAST FLOW
ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA. DEPENDING ON WHERE THE STALLED BOUNDARY ENDS
UP...MAY SEE SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL THIS WEEKEND WITH STRONGER
LOW LEVEL NORTHEAST FLOW BRINGING INCREASED COASTAL CONVERGENCE
ALONG THE BOUNDARY. FOR NOW HOWEVER...FORECAST LOOKS GOOD FOR
INCREASING COVERAGE OF EAST TO WEST MOVING SCATTERED SHOWERS AND

I use accuweather.com. The have a feature called minutecast that works wonders. It forecasts the next 120 minutes and is pretty damn accurate.

 

Outlook for Daytona looks great for Friday, no mention of rain. FLL forecast is 50% chance now. So the trends are looking better each time I check.

 

Bad news....I had to take a meeting tomorrow, could not be avoided despite my best efforts to reschedule. Which prevents me from making the ride up.

Lauren I feel bad, it seems we often try to plan a trip and I end up backing out. I'm sorry about that my friend!

Well, you couldn't ask for better weather, that's for sure. If someone did go, I'm interested in your opinion of the crowd size. Bigger, smaller, or about the same as in past years?

 

I think it was bigger than in the past. I got to Main street about 11:00. I think it's always crowded. Then afternoon I went to Rossmeyers and J&P cycles. It was really crowded. Long wait to park and crowded in the stores. Good for the businesses.
