Have you picked your dates yet, Murph? (You're planning yours for before the school year, right?) Work is hectic for me most summers, and especially this coming year whilst we're trying to implement and train for a new software system. It looks like I will be going after the school year starts.

I don't have enough time to do another two week trip with my existing two week trip cross country at the end of Sept into Oct. I was looking at my vacation time today at work that i haven't scheduled and I have about a week left. Are you planning on camping in the same place for the two weeks or will you be moving around to different places?

Murph, I came across this Harley tent with a "garage" side for you bike but figured that "garage" side could be used to sit under if there is rain instead of needed the tarp you used above the tent. I don't care if my bike is covered or gets wet but would save having the need to find trees or packing poles for your overhead tarp. One of the reviews shows a guy that put three bikes in there so there should be plenty of room for the camping chair or two.

Nice tent. I actually like my set up now. The tarp can be used to give me a porch near my tent or over the table that is usually there to use. I like the versatility the tarp gives me.

I was thinking of posting my trip to those of you that are interested in riding with me. You could always ride part of the way and head home early? Just a thought.

Yeah your setup is a great setup and the tarp can be used for mutiple purposes.

Definitely post your trip so I have the details and see if it works out where I can do a portion of the trip uli will put in for the time off.

Just wanted to throw out a thanks to this thread. Ordered the Bestblue chair, Nature Hike compact sleeping bag, and a Thermarest pad. Although I already have everything needed other than the compact chair, I want to give these others a try. Especially the self inflating pad since all I have ever used in the past is an air mattress and had to bring a battery powered pump. Hoping this stuff shows up by next weekend so I can do a quick over nighter. I haven;t tent camped in several years and right now the temps are perfect for it!
