Default Nine days in the mountains

Leaving Florida on August 6 for nine days of riding in the mountains! I go every year at the same time (usually) and ride my sporty. This time I'm taking the LTD. I can carry more (bigger tent) and be more comfortable. There aren't very many things better than motorcycle camping in the mountains!

C'mon August 6th!

North Carolina. Blue Ridge Parkway.
Staying at Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground in Cruso NC. Again....Been going there every year since 08. It is centrally located to everything I want to do, from the dragon to Mt. Mitchell, and Grandfather Mountain.
Grandfather mountain has this road that is steep with 180 switchbacks. It has some people to scared to ride it in a car, so they have a bus that will take them to the top. There is a swinging bridge for pedestrian traffic that they call the mile high bridge. the elevation of the bridge is.....5,280 feet above sea level.

My new tent came in today....I felt like Steve Martin in the movie....(the new phone book's here.....the new phone book's here....Hahaha!!
I got a Coleman Morraine Park. It's 10X10 and 6 foot tall. I can stand up in it! It folds up into a package two foot long X 8 inches X 8 inches. I timed myself putting it up. 8 minutes is all it took! My last tent was 7'X7'X50" and took longer to set up, although the folded size was much smaller....No more air mattress for me. I'm gonna take my cot this year!

I'm going to be in that same area in July. Can you tell me where that road and bridge are?

Edit: I found it on Google Maps.
