You didn't really like that paint job anyhow, Right!? Oh....and get used to hearing..."It could have been worse."
..and the question, "Are you going to ride bikes again? You ARE!? Are you nuts?!"

Glad you came out of it ok. It's not the way you want to have to do it, but build her back up the way you want, and get back on that bike!

Geez Tom. Sorry about the bike, but am glad you were not seriously injured. Hopefully you and your bike will be back on the road in time for the Rally!

I am hearing those things a lot Chuck. As I expected I would. Also "Your lucky you were wearing a helmet." as if it was luck that caused me to put it on.

In more news a got the estimate from the dealer Friday. $10.939.00. Have not heard back from the insurance company yet as to whether they will fix it or total it. May be in the market for a new bike soon.

I know it is totally (no puns) different situation, but the guys (that hit me) insurance company
claimed my bikes damage as $1350. Harley dealer said....UM, no....$5,500.
Anyhow....Harley won out in my case. Since it will be YOUR insurance company.....who knows.
They might scrap it for $1000? That is where YOU know how hard you crashed...and what it
might cost to buy it back and get a salvage title for? Might bite you in the butt for resale...but if
you can fix it and ride it for cheap, just an idea. Then again, your insurance might see it a bit
of POLICE history....and send you a check that says "All Bikes Matter."
