I can see why native Floridians would resent new residents, complaining about their state. It's like I can pick on my little brother, but you can't.

And at least you can ride in rain. It's not like snow, which kills the riding season. We have had a great summer for riding in WI. Go North.

 

I look at the summers down here like the winters up north...only with a twist. At least I can ride in summer down here most of the time if I choose...its hot, humid and may rain, but up north the snow, ice, cold, and when the roads do clear salt, we didn't do much riding during the winter time. But come Oct down here to May or June.....you cant beat it.

Ive noticed with every birthday I dislike the rain and extreme heat a little more.
Yes I was born here and have lived here for all my 61 years and don't plan on going anywhere else I just pleasure ride now. If it ain't fun I'm not doing it.

 

for all that are complaing about Florida's weather: two quick ways to get out I75 & I95. please leave at your ealiest convience, we don't need/want you here anyway.

I noticed the same thing living and working in the NE US. Every year I hated the cold and snow more. When I retired and started coming to Fl, I though....I can put up with the heat and humidity a lot better than the cold and snow. I have NO regrets.

 

My buddy and I are in central Illinois. We planned a all day trip to Woodstock the other day and there was only a 20% chance of scattered showers. Two hours into the trip up there we hit a storm so bad it was like getting water boarded! Finally made it but on the way back we hit another strong storm that had us stuck in a gas station.


At least in SW Florida if it rains you just have to wait 10 minutes and it will stop and you dry out right away. Up here when it rains there is no end in sight!

 

Well get rid of all that wet stuff So I Don't have drown in my way down from VT in October to Daytona !!!! Never ever do the whole rally/ bike show thing since 78 Daytona . But coming this year. THURSDAY OR FRIDAY good day to roll in there? No reservation so might just ride thru if it's a PITA.
Snow? Pfffft u can still ride in that if u dint own a garage queen. ICE ahhhhhh........not so much. Lol
