They charged me a $20.00 restocking fee on some $100.00 gloves just to swap them out for a different style the next day.

you chose a different style, after one day? I can understand a different size....but you want a dealership to BUY a pair of gloves because you did not like the style? That dealership sucks!

 

Indeed they do suck. Lowes and Home Depot take stuff back without a 20% fee. So does Walmart, J.C. Penny's and a host of other large retail chains. I've taken items back to those places and said, "no, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not what I really wanted", or "no nothing's wrong it's just not going to work for what I had in mind" and they give me a refund or credit my charge card or let me exchange it for another item no questions asked. What makes Harley so special? And besides, they already screwed the O.P. once for charging him $100 for a pair of friggin' damn gloves!

I think the Ferman conglomerate owns the Pensi dealership. They also own Tampa, Brandon and HD of New Port Richey not to mention about 20 car dealerships so they REALLY needed that restocking fee. Another reason why I go to any dealership just for whatever free stuff is available and seldom buy anything.

 

No matter how much the price is on a pair of gloves....unless the purchaser did not know the cost. If the tag says $100 when you buy something is, well,
that's the price you pay.
My quirk is... "I did not like the style". To say a store sucks because you bought a wrong item...is just wrong. My 2 cents.
