Hope everyone stays safe!! If you are told to evacuate, get the hell out!!!! This is a dangerous storm. We packed up our hurricane deployment stuff today and will be sending deputies and equipment wherever it's needed.

There are shelters open in most of the west central counties if you need one.

God Bless the LEOs, EMS, ARNG, and the Power Company workers. Stay safe.

On I-95 on the RI-CT border this morning.
Long convoys of heavy bucket trucks heading south.

So far this looks like a media panic.

Florida got spared, Media always takes a story and makes it look worse than it was, fallen trees, power outages, really?
I would not want to be any where near S. Carolina's coastal area. Me thnx that's going to get hit the worse.
Been through a lot of canes over the years between the TX coast and Fl but seeing first hand what Andrew did to S FL was a wake up call. Anyways, hope everyone faired well and didnt sustain too much damage other than a fallen tree or a backed up toilet.

Hopefully they'll get your power restored soon, I hate power outages.

Eye of the storm is about 70 miles south of here, we've been getting a lot of rain and occasional wind gusts. The beaches are taking a pounding.
