Sarasota Area Question
Heading north this morning to stay in a camp ground outside of Sarasota for a few days. Anyone living in that area I would be interested in suggestions. Of course the girls want to hit Long Boat Key and run up to Anna Maria Island, so any good places to see or stop out in that area?
Don't want to sit in heavy traffic all day, but what would be worth seeing or stopping at in Sarasota? How about any good rural rides east of I-75 Sarasota area?

If you are interested in trains the Florida Train Museum is in Parrish just North of Bradenton. If you go there is a great restaurant nearby called Woody's Roo on the River in Ellenton by I-75. Good food and a great view of the river.
East of Sarasota you can ride out to Herb's Limestone Country Club, a great little out of the way place. Just a little store in the middle of nowhere, but a fun ride to get there. Also in the same area is Solomon's Castle, another middle of nowhere place, but they have a restaurant that serves some good food. If you go take cash, they do not take any plastic.
