If you want to plan ahead, there are only 2 more Ft Myers Bike Nites this year. They will be held March 11th and May 13th. The hotel situation in Ft Myers is weird. Because when you go online, not a lot of hotels are listed. But when you ride around in that area, you see a lot of smaller, independent hotels and motels. The other big thing in that area that eats up a lot of hotel rooms, is the "Murder Mystery Dinner Train". I've been on it, It's actually pretty cool. But on any given night, that train will draw at least a couple hundred people. And they all need hotel rooms.
But anyway, Maybe the March 11th date will work good for You, Murph. And hopefully it will also work for many others! I think it's good for me.

I can't make this one but may do another weekend if you're planning it. I just need some notice so I can get a dog sitter.

Lauren, it's looking rather bleak at the moment. So far, it's just the 3 of us... (Me, Myself, and I). But I don't really mind riding over there by myself. There will be plenty of people already there! And I will know 2 of them (Randy and his wife Sharon). Maybe some of the other West Coast FLCrew people will show up.

I was just down there over New Years weekend. Got a new tat at Articulture downtown with my daughter. It would be nice to hit an event like that but don't think it's going to happen.

Steevo.....just got informed by my co-pilot that we have some unexpected guests coming into town this Sat.%$!$#@, that's what happens when you move to Fl. You get folks visiting from the cold. Not Bike friendly. So we wont make Bike Nite, was looking forward to meeting up with you again.
On another note. The Hotel you are staying in has a bar on the roof with a killer view. Not sure if you made it too Firestone's http://www.firestonefl.com/index.php/sky-bar last time you were here. Its one block back towards the water. Get on the elevator and go up to the Sky Bar great view of the water, go early.....gets crowded later in the evening. Plus not much to see in the dark.
Have fun...be safe, sorry we cant make it.

I'll probably be making my way down there early.... gets a bit crowded later on. I still don't know many people down here, so I tend to get bored after looking at all the bikes.

Hope everyone that visited our Bike night stayed safe. Saw on the late news there was a fatal crash on Rt. 41 involving a motorcycle. Not good.

Early reports indicate that bike was heading north and pickup turned in front of him.

From comments, if you can believe them, bike was possibly partially at fault? We frequent that area of Rt. 41 all the time and you really have to watch it due to congestion this time of year. We had went to Sandy Parrot south of there with another TG to eat Friday and there was a lot of traffic out. That is one area of Ft. Myers where my head is constantly on a swivel and I am expecting someone to pull out in front of me.
