Looks like something, some of us could look forward to. I would be interested, but would not be able to commit. You thinking about Maggie valley or there about? Asheville? Little Switzerland? What?

I'm thinking Maggie Valley or Waynesville just because of their proximity to some great riding and the availability of hotels. I'm pretty flexible though and open to suggestions if someone else has other ideas.

Damn, sounds like a good trip. I've already put in for time off & made hotel reservations in July for "Shark Week", which is in Cherokee this year. I know I have to save another week off for the OL, lol. Have fun and ride safe!

Maggie and Waynesville are definitely good base points. Might also want to consider Franklin, NC. Closer access to those great North GA mountain roads and still convenient to the the Nat'l Park and the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Just takes about 35 minutes to get to Maggie from Franklin.

If you decide on Maggie make sure you call A Holiday Motel. It's where I stay, Gabbie used to give a 10% discount to The Florida Crew, but not many of us have been up there lately. Good location, biker folks, and the onsite restaurant is good.

also...if you are not SET on N. Carolina...may I suggest Helen, Georgia. A quaint little town with terrific rides in all directions. It is
about two hours ride to the Dragon (a nice ride there in itself). Just an idea... Maggie valley is very nice....Asheville....you really can't go wrong.

Tourglider is right Holiday Motel is biker friendly and also family friendly as it is family owned. Rob and Gabby both are wonder people.
They will help in any way they can.
Last time I was there... NO I DIDN'T "BLOW A SEAL"..(for those that heard the story).....that woulda been messy and nasty....
I had a busted fork seal.....hardly any brakes with all the oil on them.
Gabby gave me accurate directions and called the bike shop just as they were closing, and they waited for me.
The rooms were clean and had no odor.
If I didn't love camping so much, I would stay at a Holiday Motel!
Maybe we could get a crew ride together and stay there?

I just got off the phone with Gabby.
If you want to stay there, you need to make reservations.
Their weekends for most of May thru september are booked.
There is no need to ask for a Fl Crew rate unless there are 10 or more rooms getting booked.
Rates are 70 to 90, depending on week day or weekend.
They are one of the most popular hotels in Maggie Valley.

Yes, I know why they are so popular!
