Hello all


Riding up tonight or tomorrow morning up US 27 from South Florida and get some scenery vs highway miles. I heard a while back Hwy 17 was scenic from about Sebring north, but I am not sure what areas it goes through. Has anyone ridden that road or any suggestions?

I plan on doing about 500 miles up north tomorrow, and it's only about 260 miles from here, so I am going to ride up north a bit and back down to Apopka or Orlando for the night.

I saw a few Harley dealers in central / north FL... Any of them "must visit" ? or other suggestions...

 

Yes Highway 17 is very scenic. You can actually pick it up in Sebring, and it will take you thru historic downtown. Then it will end back up on 27 again for a little while. Watch for it to turn off 27 to the left North of Sebring. It will take you thru Frostproof, Babson Park, and then Lake Wales. It ends in Haines City so from there you will have to figure out how to get to Orlando.

Seminole HD Rt 46 & I-4 is having their customer appreciation weekend this week; beer food music free. Destination Daytona Rossmeyer HD I95 & US 1 BIG dealer, JP Cycles store, other vendors, BBQ motels, gas. Iron Horse Saloon a couple of miles east on US 1 from that area.

You might hit it lucky and catch a swap meet at DD.

Watch out for those crazy spring breakers!!
