Posted this a while back but thought I'd put it back out there. I'm planning on riding out to Arkansas in Sept( on vacation from 14th-27th) and was wondering if anyone else is interested. My sister lives in Fort Smith and that will be base camp. Plan is to ride Oklahoma on day 1, east of Fort Smith day 2, and Eureka Springs/Harrison area day 3. Day 4 would be leaving Harrison and taking the Scenic 7 all the way south to Lousiana and making it over to Shreveport and crashing at my nephews place. From there, make our way back to Fl. Departure/ return dates are flexible. Probably 8 -10 days on the road. Plenty of time to plan if anyone is interested.Ride safe...

 

HHP,,,,,already here, but Bikes, Blues, and BBQ will be going on sep 24-27 in Fayetteville....You'll be getting into the area when there's a lot going on up in NWA. be sure to take in the area around Mt Magazine on the east of Ft Smith day and come on down toward the Mena area and the Talimena Drive..... Come on up and be safe....

 

My buddy and I are planning a trip to visit a friend that just moved to Fort Smith, but we are going 9/3 - 9/9. We were originally planning on going your week, but my work schedule messed that up.

Sounds like there is some nice riding down there.

 

Thanks for the reminder about B,B&BBQ, wasn't even thinking about it. I was in Fort Smith last year for a wedding and hotel was full of riders. Seeing as you're from that area, can 7 be ridden the full length(N-S) in one day or is the northern end a slower pace? And the day over in Oklahoma is designated to the Talimena Skyway. Thanks,Pat.
