To Dave,
You did a fine job as moderator. I can remember a few times when you had to make tough, quick decisions in order to keep the peace. And unlike other internet forums, where you're dealing with strangers, it's even tougher to delete a post or yank a whole thread of someone that you know, and ride with. But Otherwise, you gave us plenty of freedom to rant, rave, and vent. Thanks a bunch.

I'm not expecting this to be tough or take up too much of my time. We are in theory all adults here - cough cough.

I think we can get this forum back up and running if everybody just puts up some posts. This is meant to be Events, Rides and Road Reports. Please post up local events whether you are planning to go or not, they don't necessarily have to be all motorcycle events, maybe car shows etc, bike nights, dealership customer appreciation days, BBQ or chilli cookoffs, anything where it would be nice for bikers to go and hang out.
Road reports - can be anything pertaining to roads - routes, cool destinations, new restaurants, biker friendly hotels, closed roads, traffic issues. Where you've ridden and roads you'd like to ride.
Rides - well it would be nice if the Crew tried to meet once in a while. I know it's a huge state so we can't all get together, but if you're going on a ride and don't mind some tagalongs then post up your plans.

We could also be welcoming to new members, perhaps we could make an effort to look in at the new members sections and point Florida members to our corner of the forum.

Like I said if we all post a little more frequently the forum will gain momentum. It's also ok to post up personal news - new job/house/vacation plans/chit chat.

Let's keep this forum, light hearted, friendly and chatty.

I look forward to getting the Mod baton from Dave. Please be patient with me while I learn the ropes and know that I will f*** up at least a few times.

Thanks Dave. The CREW has changed a bit. I can't point to any ONE thing, but if you have been to any other the past Ocala Rallies...you saw something was not right.
I think the highlight Ocala Rally was the years we stuffed 23 (some say 25) people into the "Rally Room" bathroom. The year we had the bar-b-que FORD PINTO was a year to remember. Of course, someone tried to top the 'slow ride' contest with a "BOA/negligee"
contest....I think there are still pictures out there.
