At 62 I have found it does not work for me anymore, I have to slow down now. I gave up my low T shirts and my Speedo last year.

You had no helmet on....or why did they ask for insurance? But I have a similar story that got me out a speeding ticket. But Hope you learned a lesson about passing on a double solid......some would say that is STUPID. (I will leave them to judge).

Can't really blame RADAR for speeding or crossing a double solid.

I just came back from Little Switzerland....an Ultra Glide on the back of my truck....going on 226A......35 MPH speed limit....which was 10 MPH too fast for my truck. I see two crotch rockets coming up on me.
226A has NO pull overs...so I thought, on the straightest part, I will put on my right turn signal and slow to 15 MPH...but the bikes would not pass (double solid mind you)..
I would speed up to 25 MPH (Twisty-turnies....)....and on the relative straights, right turn signal....slow to 15 MPH.....still they would not pass me. FINE....I drive my 25MPH....speed limit 35.
Finally....I come to a patch of ground I can pull over.....bikes go by....and wave at me.
I know how they felt. Good time, had by all.

actually got a warning yesterday on the bike. Pulled me over with the truck in front of me. I asked what I was doing on the gun, and he said he couldn't get me but he knew I was speeding because I was behind the truck ( who did get a ticket) I was probably between 65-70. So I guess it was my lucky day too.

Actually I was wearing a helmet so he didn't have to ask for my insurance, and I think you don't need insurance in Fl if you wear a helmet.

My community has 4 gated entrances, I live closest to the southern most one.

One morning I left in my car and by the time I got to the northern most one (less than a mile) I was doing 65 (in a 40).

Motorcycle cop running radar in it pulled me over. I told him I knew how fast I was going, but I'd appreciate it if he he was gonna give me a ticket to go easy on me. He replied "oh, you're gonna get a ticket, you were doing 25 over the speed limit". I also did not have my insurance card or registration.

Mentioned my brother was a retired cop... Didn't seem to care. Them I asked what year his Road King was, and he told me a 2006. Then he glanced at my license for my MC endorsement and asked if I ride, and what. At the time I gad my 11 Limited and told him I used to have a 2009 Road King. He was very interested in it asking about the handling, cornering etc. he then told me the department was being upgraded to 2012's in 2 months.

He told me to sit tight and walk back to his bike where he wrote my ticket. When he came back he handed me the ticket and said "I told you I was giving you a ticket"... I looked down and it was for no registration and no insurance card.. 20 dollar fine! I thanked him and told him he'll love the new 2012.
