Here is the link for a *.pdf version of the DMV's power of attorney. Easy Peasy.

Also, if your bike needs a new tag, they'll issue it to the person holding the power of attorney. The power of attorney allows the attorney-in-fact (the holder of the power of attorney) to register the bike. Three years registration ought to be about $150-$160, including late fees.

Went by the local tag agency today, they said you can call them and they can do it phone/mail. also anyone can go renew tag for you as long as they have the tag number or regastration.

I was with a friend today whose tag had run out some months before, a friend did it for him and all the friend needed was the registration. They are happy to take the money no power of attorney needed.

Thanks for thinking about me.
im pretty sure it would work out..
like i said,,, im in europe and the bikes in new york.
im thinking it wont be a big deal,
but i found out a trick to save the registrtion penalty .
if you can provide a form that its been in "dead storage"
you should nt have to pay for the preceding years...of it not being registered,,!in my case 3 years ago.. it must be notorized but . maybe it works without it being notorized..

we are lucky in florida, i grew up in new york. and its always been a pain for any dmv stuff.
ill let you guys know how it went ...thanks again ..

So i had a friend register it , was no hassle ,
The power of attorney and some money,
take note,,,,,,

If you fill out the form for " dead storage " meaning being stored not used . You do not have to pay the previous years unregistered although there was a 23 dollor extra fee for somthing im not sure what yet, maybe penalty ?

It would of been over 200 but it was 59 bucks in the end ,
Thanks everyone,,

I went to faaker zee bike meeteing last week .in austria Great party

Happy in Berlin
