I'm heading down to Doral for a couple of nights on Saturday.

As I've still never seen Lake O, I figure I'll stop at Clewiston for lunch and a look around.

If anyone wants to ride down with me, or wants to come from the East coast for lunch, let me know. I just need to be in the Doral area by 5:30pm!

if u go down the east side of the lake from okeechobee you can pull of at port myakka and drive right up to the lake. nice view there. I am not sure where you can see the lake well in clewiston. I know at the tiki bar you cant see it. only the lock.

 

I am in Doral so if you need any suggestions or what have you. Lmk. I'm planning my trip the opposite direction Miami up to central or northern Fl

Sounds good to me. I can meet you guys there. I have been wanting to get some riding in. Clewiston is not very far me so I can ride north and meet you guys some where.

Yes You can see the open water of the lake from the top of the levee in Clewiston.

 

I will ride down with you as far as Clewiston but I will have to leave you there and return. What time you want to leave? I can meet you in Zephyrhills.

 

Meeting Dave at Chancey Rd and 301 at 9am on Saturday morning.

We are meeting Big Gator at the Tiki Bar at about 12:30 for lunch.

Dave will head back to Pasco afterwards, I may ride around the east side of the lake, then head south to Doral.

It's been a while since I've been on a good long ride, so I'm ready! PetScan tomorrow, and I won't get the results until Tuesday, so this will be a good way to clear my head! **** cancer!
