One word of caution, when on Duval St. Just be sure they are really ladies. That's all I will say about that!!!

 

How do they coordinate the parking for the bikes?

Any tips on a hotel at this point? Even if its one of the upper keys?

I will probably end up riding down and back the same day anyway

 

You can buy a wristband from Peterson's HD to park on Duvall Street....it's like $5. They block off all other vehicles from parking on Duvall.

Hotel.....good luck! They jack up the price at ALL hotels for ANY event and still sell out quick. I usually stay at Doubletree by Hilton but its over $200 a night.

 

Nice trip!! I've been wanting to do that for the past few years....so touché. Please do a good road trip report with lots of pics!

If you aren't opposed to tenting, you may find a place still open at the rev park.

The bed and breakfasts are a good last minute deal, but they will likely want more than a one night stay.if you are feeling perky, you can ride down early, see Duval and head back after 11:00. You really won't be able to drink, but can still see the party.

 

My idea of camping out is a La Quinta. A tent in the Keys this time of year? Not for me, just sayin' - I did that as a kid. Never again.


We found a place near-ish Duval with 2-bedroom suites for less than the cost of 2 1-bedroom fleabag motels. Try the hotel shopping services like Expedia.


Good tip on making sure the ladies are ladies. Not that I will be inspecting that closely; the wife would not be amused.

 

Anyone riding down Saturday morning? thats the day im going down because of work

 

We will be heading down Friday morning around 9am-ish from Café 27. It'll be 4-5 V Twins and a token café racer.
