Question wind shields yay not nay?

I've been wondering if I should get a wind shield, I don't want to because I think they look lame but if it will help with the wind enough when I'm on the freeway I might just do it. What do you long time riders suggest?

Question, why do you think that they look lame? Then to answer your question, if you think that they look lame, then do not get one.
I like mine. I do not like to eat bugs and fight the wind, rain and dirt.
I do not think that I look lame on my bike.

HTO they seem sissy to me, and I don't think they look cool. Again if they really work then they are worth it but if not then since I don't like the way they look I won't get one.

I use my bike as a means of transportation, riding more days than I dont. Therefore, a windshield is basically a necessity. If I were posering outside starbucks I reckon I wouldn't need one.

Hope you can use this example to determine if you need a windshield....

Quick detachable, there when you need it & gone when you don't.

I ride everyday. I refuse to have a windshield. I personally like the wind (and the occasional bug.) to me it's part of riding. As they say "Now I know why the dog sticks his head out the window of the car!"

Yes looking cool when riding is much more important than being comfortable and protected... can ya take some pics of your coolness and post so we can all appreciate it fully?

My Ultra is the first bike that has had one, it is also the first road bike with a front fender or a front brake. And like the radio it is one of those things that you don't really realize how much they improve the ride till you've had one for a while. I am much more likely to ride if the weather looks iffy now then ever before cause while I will still get wet, it is not that deep penetrating soaking I used to get. If I built another custom I would not have one, but then I would keep the Ultra for days when I wanted one.
