Good point. Maybe his leather has a lot of history or sentimental meaning to him. Do a little research before you buy him a new one he won't ever wear.

A lot of guys get attached to their leathers and prefer the distressed look.
Maybe some new chrome parts for the bike, fix him a nice dinner and then meet him at the door wearing saran wrap....

Advice on men , we like our gear old particularly leathers they aren't broke well till they get old and ratty looking . You want to do something for the honey to show him how you feel do what a few have already suggested pick up something for you that reek's sexy and I'm your **** . You'll much happier with the reception he'll give that over a new coat for him and I mean this honestly not as a joke .

Exactly! I wear my 30 year old leather 99% of the time and my 2 yr old HD jacket the other 1%...

BTW, Welcome to the forum!

Welcome Justine!

As others have said... many guys treat their old leather as a treasured family member. Before you go out and spend a lot of money to replace it, please try to make sure that he isn't too attached to the existing jacket. Otherwise your act of kindness, affection, and respect may end up being taken the wrong way.

Don't go fooling around with a guy's clothes. We have our comfort zones and sometimes old clothes play a pivotal role.

Hell, I still like to wear my old Army coat...and it was issued to me in 1966.
