Default "We are collecting all colors."

I have a couple of older stories. Not name dropping as a show of respect. Just stories I've been directly part of or just off to the side. Stories, some got press, some never did. Call bullshit if you wish, I don't get all butt hurt on the internet. Just telling them like it went down.
******

First one happened maybe 11 yrs ago. About 10 clubs at the time and only about 8 ever did much, so very thin by today's numbers.

In a suburb, outside a good sized city, an established club had made a neighborhood bar their weekly hangout. Everyone knew them in the area. The bar keeps loved em. They held benefits there over the years. The neighborhood loved em. The owner welcomed them every time.
Fun fun fun place.

One Saturday night some club members decided they didn't want to honor a bar owner's need to close up. Probably around 2am as is law here in the state. 3 or 4 clubbers refused to leave when the owner got ready to lockup. They escorted him out the door and barricaded themselves inside... continued their fun. No one else just these patch holders. They didnt damage the place just drank beer through the night and left a $50 bill on the bar.

10am a certain biker in the area gets a knock on his door at home by the chief of police from the suburb AND the larger city... with SWAT.
PISSED OFF! In his FACE!! Yelling at him they demanded the offenders be handed over to police immediately. He knew nothing of the incident, but of course the cops don't believe him and insist he likely initiated the takeover. The cops declared war on colors. "We are collecting all colors." Anyone wearing colors in the area will be stopped. Everyone is a suspect. You sold us on the idea that "you police your own kind", you lied about it. You told us this would never happen. You told us clubs don't do this. *Strange, the cops didn't know who the offending club was, seems the owner would not ID.

The man convinced these angry cops he would begin an immediate investigation. Let me make a couple of phone calls. They agreed 6 hours or they begin "pulling patches."

What do you think happened?
Did the club rat out these offenders?
Did the cops take everyone's colors?

Discuss or pass.

I don't think it's going to be listed as a major point in history.

well using my brilliant powers of deduction I'd say since I doubt anyone would post a story about a club member ratting others out. and pulling patches would be a hotly contested civil liberties issue that a McChief O' PD would not be able to pull off. I don't think either of those happened.

I'd say the cops got tired after gearing up for the trip and knock n talk and they all went home had a nap and forgot about it and nothing else really ever came of a relatively minor issue like this especially since it is unlikely the owner didn't press the issue.

Or the local clubs made a sizable donation to the Policemen's ball or Lil Tommy's kidney fund or world wide association of the blind cripple and crazy, and the cops went away happy and there was peace in the valley and God had a small tear of happiness in his eye? Ok that was just a wild guess...

Since they drank the night away and left a 50 I am guessing owner didn't narc em out.

How'd the cops find out anyhow? Would the owner complain to LEO only to refuse to cooperate after wards?

The cops played the intimidation card, nothing happened... everyone went their way!

No one is brave enuff to rat out the lone wolf guys. At least I haven't met the man who would take them on.

Maybe they offered up the probates? like 3 from each club and they had to wash cars.

Can't say which way that would have swung it all depends solely on the club in question , you and I both know that .

Mine would have told the members in question to make it right if things were at a state we didn't need the heat , wouldn't have been any jail or BS just some money changing hands and a promise not to do it again without the owners permission who would also be brought into the fold so no future problems . Other wise fuc um lets play tag with bondsman & lawyers both of which we had on tap .

I have seen 4 old school long time patch holders walk into a bar full of wild hogs types , must have been 6 or 8 different bullshit clubs and walk out with every patch that wasn't theirs .

It beats my kickin the teeth out of a Brit oil field worker for bad mouthing the US in a very nasty bar in Western Africa story. You ain't been in a gnarly bar until you been in a bar in Africa... Not a nice hotel bar but a red light district in a place where they carry machetes, rusty AKs and AIDs. And that is just the bathroom attendants

I am actually interested to hear what the outcome was. I am curious to know if it was the patch thing. If so I bet the clubs made a nice little "out of court settlement" bankroll. As should happen when the law oversteps.

Is there any 1% MCs doing the smart thing and just suing LEO? THAT is the way to make cash with little effort.

I'm not an MC member but we used ta play a game of tag w/ the 'straight laces' & the 'heads' essentially, essentially, we rotated KOOL places, keeping them available & open so the (BLANK) couldn't follow so easily
